Phil: Something is... different.
Rita: Good or bad?
Phil: Anything different is good.
Lemme keep this one real brief, k guys? Cause we got a lot to get through and not a lotta time to do it (Or, all the time in the world, guess that depends on how you look at it, really.) This one is gonna be a trip, but there ain’t no warning this time… Feeling like myself all over again.
And again
And again
I was left to my own devices
Many days fell away with nothing to show
And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Grey clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above
Almost as soon as Krahe disappeared out of that little cafe, Indi lifted her purse onto her lap. The room was still eerily quiet as though the people within it only acted when she acted. Moved when she moved… You ever see those creepy mannequin dudes in horror movies? Yeah? Well this was like the reverse of that, in that the dudes ONLY moved when she was looking at them.
Real spooky like.
Anyway, she plopped that purse on the table and a rather annoyed mew came from it, unfurling from his position inside; Ollie padded across the table and turned, sitting directly in front of Indi. Now let me tell you, not a single person reacted to this.
Like I said, Real Spooky.
That one murky eye just stared at Indi for a real long time and she stared back, if anyone in the cafe could react, they sure as heck would have with what happened yet; not really sure if the voice just existed in the air or if we can hear it just cause she can hear it, but a wise old voice that sounded kinda like that Giles dude from Buffy seemed to drift on the very air between the odd pair.
"I told you he wasn’t going to like it." Indi nodded at her companion and let out a sigh, pushing her hands up in the air she let out a small giggle.
"Well, what you gonna do about it? I already said it now, besides.. I’ve done this dance bud and whether or not her got an up on me last time? We know Cross has numbered days, you just gotta rely on the universe to.."
Mid ramble that voice boomed through the whole cafe…
"WRONG ANSWER!"
But if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like
Nothing changed at all?
And if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like
You've been here before?
Almost as soon as Krahe disappeared out of that little cafe, Indi lifted her purse onto her lap.
Hold on.
Pause.
Didn’t we do this bit already?
"Yeah we did." ...Indi, you’re not supposed to be able to hear this.
"And you’re not supposed to be able to hear Ollie, but here we are."
And speaking of the time bending, talking feline; there he is, strutting out of her purse that she apparently put on the table just like before, this time though, Indi didn’t wait for the stare down. Instead she picked up her cup and took a sip with a long sigh.
"Are we really doing this again?"
"We can’t go in there with this bad attitude of yours.."
"It is NOT a bad attitude, I just know the Universe has this."
"Indi."
"Ollie."
"At some point you have to realise that while we can provide you with all the tools you need to bring this to fruition, the ultimate outcome relies on you and your actions… or inactions of late…"
"I don’t think I’m the one with a bad attitude here Ol.."
"WRONG ANSWER"
But if you close your eyes

Nothing changed at all?
And if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like
You've been here before?
Almost as soon as Krahe disappeared out of that little cafe, Indi lifted her purse onto her lap.
"WHAT THE-"
Yup, we’re right there with you Princess. Looks like there is a lesson here you need to learn and our dear deep space kitty cat isn’t letting you out of this loop until you do.
"Huh, guess he’s been taking a few lessons from that Doogan dude or whoever it is that keeps setting these matches up."
Indi.
"I know, I know, bad attitude. But you gotta admit, this is all starting to feel a little Groundhog Day…"
What about… "The zombie."
Yeah, what the cat said.
"He has a name."
Don’t care.
"If you two are quite finished? We do have a point to get to and as amusing as all of this is, time is actually finite and we have a deadline to meet."
...I’ll just rebuild that wall later, shall I?
"Indi, you keep looking at this match like it's just another turn on the road, but if you continue with this attitude people are going to start questioning your commitment again. We talked about this, even when you don’t really want to be here… THEY have to believe you want to be here…"
"They?"
"...the fans, other wrestlers, your bosses.. If they look at the tapes you flick up on YouTube and see some stoner chick who lives out of a van talking about how the universe decides her ultimate fate, they’re gonna start questioning your work ethic…"
"Are not."
"Indi.."
"I know, I know… WRONG ANSWER!"
But if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like
Nothing changed at all?
And if you close your eyes

Almost as soon as Krahe disappeared out of that little cafe, Indi lifted her purse onto her lap. Cat comes out, Indi stares at it, they have some little back and forth about how they keep doing this, she argues that she can’t be held prisoner, etc. etc.
"Rude."
What?
"I didn’t say you could cliffnotes my existence you know… I am sooo sorry if this is boring you narrator dude, but maybe you could do what you’re here for and narrate the constant cycle of churros that has become my life? K?"
….
"Sorry, that was rude. I would never be that rude, it must have been someone else. Carry on."
The Galactic Princess herself realised the predicament she was in, she could either accept there were lessons to be learned and things she needed to know about her upcoming match. Or she could be stuck on this cycle forever… Sparing you some of the resets, let me just explain that we are now on unlucky number thirteen.
"Unlucky for some!"
Right… Because we are all feeling really lucky right now.
It's probably a good thing that the people in the cafe are still kinda like those creepy mannequin things, nothing really happens. Like, at all. They all just sit there and move any time she looks at them, which has become less and less with each reset. She actually looks a little tired, but at least her hot chocolate fills back up with each reset.
"Indi. The Zombie… You need to look at the Zombie."
Finally, Indi slumped in her seat with a groan.
"But I like her."
"So? You think if you like someone you can’t hurt them? Moxie is your friend."
"Moxie isn’t delicate."
"Delicate?"
Lifting her head a little, Indi flashed a knowing smile at Ollie and finally, he rested down on the table himself. Maybe this is it? Maybe she is finally getting it.
"Look. I get it my dudes, the Zombies are big and grr and violent and scary and all that good stuff that gets the horror and hardcore fans dancing in their seats. But she’s different. There’s something IN her and I am not gonna be the one who squashes it."
"Maybe you have to be."
"Maybe… But is that really the example I wanna set? People keep talking like they’re just waiting for me to snap, to lose it and do whatever it takes to win. But that will never really be winning… Why do you think guys like Cross, who claim to have been everywhere and done everything, stick around? Its because they know, deep down, they haven’t really DONE it.
Cheaters never prosper in the end; as much as they might want a championship wrapped around their waist, what does it really mean if they got there by side stepping their own talent? Do you really think guys like that are happy in their careers? NOPE… he goes around buying people because it’s the only way he can ever emulate any kind of success…
Pinfall over me or not, I’m better than him and he knows it."
...Pretty deep huh?
"And the Zombie?"
Indi shakes her head and downs her drink with a loud and exaggerated pleased sound.
"WRONG QUESTION."
Nothing changed at all
Nothing changed at all
Almost as soon as Krahe disappeared out of that little cafe, Indi looked down at her purse and shook her head slowly.
Wait.
Looking around the cafe, she stood up and strutted towards the door, reaching it she pushed the door open with ease, stepping outside into the fresh air she smiled as it hit her face and I am just realizing that I am narrating this like the same boring dudes on every other channel…
"Sorry about that, but I had to get out of there… You wanna talk about Zombie?"
Uh, if I say yes are you gonna leave me in the cafe?
"Don’t worry about Ollie, he can always find his way home."
You didn’t answer the question.
"Just ask."
…
"Okay, I’ll tell you anyway. Zombie isn’t the same as the others, sure she partners up and she plays the part. But you ever notice how she just moves a little different, she just looks a little different. Not the face paint and stuff, that’s all cool and on brand.
But her eyes…"
Her eyes?
"Yup, she isn’t gonna be out there looking to secure a spot for anything. And she can play the part and she can dress it up and pretend she cares about the success of that team, but do you know what she wants?"
Krahe?
"B-I-N-G-O!"
So.. are you gonna let her have him?
Indi sighed loudly and looked around, wait, is she looking for me. Oh god can she see me? No, that’s a stupid idea, I don’t really even exist.
Do I?
The fact that I have a voice means I exist in some capacity right? Even if I only exist in this universe and in this moment, that’s still an existence and if I have an existence then do I have a form? Am I a person in a box? Is that why she can talk to me?
Oh god.
"Dude…"
Indi.
"Chill."
Sorry.
Anyway… Are you gonna let her have him?
Indi?
….
Oh where do we begin?
The rubble or our sins?
Nothing changed at all
Rita: Good or bad?
