"Maurice Yensman. For the act of breaking and entering in the Egyptian Museum and lighting an ancient Egyptian artifact on fire, The Judiciary of Egypt sentences you to pay a fine of five thousand Egyptian Pounds!" A gavel is slammed down as the judge declares his sentence.
"FUCK!" Maurice Yensman blurts out in the middle of a courtroom. "FIVE THOUSAND EGYPTIAN POUNDS?! I have no Egyptian money. This is not good."
"Mr. Yensman, there is a currency exchange window out in the hallway. You may pay your fine out there."
Maurice exits the courtroom and walks over to the counter. He presents a ticket to the window.
"How would you like to pay for this, sir?" A lady asks him. "Cash or credit?"
"Well how fuckin' much is five thousand Egyptian Pounds in American dollars?" Maurice grits his teeth, waiting to hear some extremely bad news.
The lady does some calculations. "That will be two hundred and ninety-eight American dollars and fifty-eight cents, sir."
Maurice blurts out in laughter. "LESS THAN THREE HUNDR... Okay." Maurice clears his throat while trying to hide laughter. "I must accept this... harsh... penalty for my actions. I will pay in cash." Maurice pulls out three crisp one hundred dollar bills. "And since I feel so... terribly bad... about this incident, you may keep the change!"
Maurice receives a receipt for his transaction and walks out of the building. He smiles as he slips a cigarette in between his lips. He pulls his lighter out his pocket and ignites the smoke. "Gotta loooove that exchange rate." Maurice smiles as he walks off and the scene fades out.
